Messaging - Advisory

Description

Messaging Advisory lets you select a short message to show to display set users who call your telephone. Messaging Advisory uses only the ASCII system.

Conditions and Feature Interactions

• Messaging Advisory is not supported on SIP devices. See Feature Availability below for more information on device support.

• Messaging Advisory is not supported for phones operating in Swedish, Polish or Simplified Chinese. If you change a phone to an unsupported language, the Advisory Messages Superkey prompt is not presented and any active advisory message is turned off.

Operation

5010 IP Phone, 5207 IP Phone, 5212 IP Phone, 5304 IP Phone, 5312 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone and 5215 IP Phone (Dual Mode)

To turn Messaging Advisory on:

1. Press SuperKey.

2. Press *.

3. Press # until the desired message appears.

4. Press *.

To turn Messaging Advisory off:

1. Press SuperKey.

2. Press *.

3. Press *.

5020 IP Phone, 5220 IP Phone and 5220 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5224 IP Phone, 5324 IP Phone, 5320/5320e IP Phone, 5330/5330e IP Phone, 5340/5340e IP Phone, 5360 IP Phone, Navigator, and 69xx IP Phones

To turn Messaging Advisory on:

1. Press SuperKey (must be programmed to a key on the 5330/5330e, 5340/5340e, and 69xx IP Phone).

2. Press No until Advisory Msgs? appears.

3. Press Yes.

4. Press Next until the message appears.

5. Press TurnOn.

To turn Messaging Advisory off:

1. Press SuperKey (must be programmed to a key on the 5330/5330e IP Phone and 5340/5340e IP Phone).

2. Press No until Advisory Msgs? appears.

3. Press Yes.

4. Press TurnOff.

5140 IP Phone and 5240 IP Phone

To turn Messaging Advisory on:

1. Press SETTINGS.

2. Press Messaging.

3. Press Advisory.

4. Do one of the following:

• To see the next message press Next Message.

• To turn the message on, press Turn Msg On.

• To view a particular message, press Show Msg No and enter the number of the message.

To turn Messaging Advisory off:

1. Press SETTINGS.

2. Press Messaging.

3. Press Advisory.

4. Press Turn Msg Off.

To turn Messaging Advisory on:

1. Press FCT.

2. Press # until SuperKey is displayed

3. Press SND.

4. Press FCT until Advisory Messages? appears.

5. Press RCL.

6. Press Next until the message appears.

7. Press On.

To turn Messaging Advisory off:

1. Press FCT.

2. Press # until SuperKey is displayed

3. Press SND.

4. Press No until Advisory Messages? appears.

5. Press Yes.

6. Press Off.

2. Press Top Arrow Key until SuperKey is displayed

3. Press the Send Key.

4. Press Top Right Hand Key until Advisory Messages? appears.

5. Press Top Left hand Key.

6. Press Next until the message appears.

7. Press On.

To turn Messaging Advisory off:

1. Press FCT.

2. Press Top Arrow Key until SuperKey is displayed

3. Press the Send Key.

4. Press Top Right Hand Key until Advisory Messages? appears.

5. Press Top Left Hand Key.

6. Press Off.
